What are the benefits of membership?
Regional and local concerts, rallies, workshops and seminars offer opportunities to see and try the different styles and techniques of ringing, the various makes and types of instruments in use, to play and hear the wide variety of music which is played and to learn new ringing techniques and skills.
The annual National Rally, usually held in the Spring, is an opportunity for members to meet ringers from all over the country and perform in both formal and informal concerts, exchange ideas, share information and learn more about the art of tune ringing.
Members receive a biannual journal 'Reverberations', and newsletters are published by each region, The Society publishes pieces of music, information leaflets and booklets which are available to members. The 'Crescendo' award scheme encourages younger ringers to develop their knowledge and skills, and for more mature ringers the 'Arpeggio' Scheme offers similar opportunities.
HRGB can offer help on finding out more about instruments, accessories, music, starting and organising a team, and all aspects of tune ringing, Member teams wishing to purchase or refurbish hand bells may be eligible for help from the William Hartley Memorial Fund, which was formed in memory of the founder chairman of the Society.
